little people
Tiny mythical beings
Little people is a term for those with dwarfism—preferred by many in the community over older words like dwarf or midget.
The phrase also refers to fairies, leprechauns, and other mythical small beings in folklore.
Separately, little people means ordinary folks without power or influence: The tax breaks help corporations, not the little people.
