listening party
Communal album debut
A listening party is a social gathering where people come together to hear a music album, often a new release, played in full.
These events range from informal groups of friends to promotional gatherings organized by artists or labels: The band hosted a listening party for their new album.
Online listening parties have become common, with fans streaming simultaneously while discussing tracks on social media.
