A lighting fixture is a device that holds and powers a light source—a lamp, chandelier, sconce, or ceiling-mounted unit.
The term encompasses the housing, wiring, and mounting hardware as distinct from the bulb itself.
We replaced all the lighting fixtures when we renovated the kitchen.
