light sensors
Devices measuring illumination
Light sensors are devices that detect and measure light, converting it into electrical signals.
They range from simple photocells that trigger automatic doors or streetlights to sophisticated sensors in cameras that adjust exposure.
The light sensors on my phone dim the screen in bright sunlight.
