leg kicks
Pool lane movements
Leg kicks are strikes delivered with the shin to an opponent's thigh or calf, fundamental to kickboxing, Muay Thai, and mixed martial arts.
Unlike flashier head kicks, leg kicks accumulate damage over time, gradually weakening an opponent's mobility and base: He chopped him down with leg kicks in the second round.
Outside combat sports, the term sometimes describes playful or retaliatory kicks to someone's legs.
