Heel-of-hand attacks
Palm strikes are blows delivered with the heel or base of the palm rather than the knuckles.
Common in martial arts and self-defense, they reduce the risk of hand injury while delivering significant force: She used palm strikes to the attacker's nose and chin.
The technique appears in systems from Wing Chun to Krav Maga.
