layout design
Page element positioning
Layout design is the arrangement of visual elements—text, images, and whitespace—on a page or screen.
The term appears in graphic design, web development, and publishing, where decisions about positioning and proportion shape how information is received.
Good layout design guides the eye and establishes hierarchy: The layout design emphasizes the headline while keeping navigation unobtrusive.
