Islamic weekly worship
Jummah is the Friday congregational prayer in Islam, the most important weekly observance for Muslims.
It replaces the midday prayer and includes a sermon.
Attending jummah is obligatory for adult men; women may attend but aren't required to.
The mosque was packed for jummah.
Also spelled jumah or jumu'ah.
