iodized
Enriched with halogen
Iodized describes something that has had iodine added to it, almost always salt.
Iodine is an essential nutrient that prevents thyroid problems, and since the 1920s, table salt has been fortified with it: iodized salt.
The practice largely eliminated iodine deficiency in developed countries.
