inspirational women
Admired ladies throughout history
Inspirational women are female figures whose achievements, courage, or character motivate others.
The phrase appears constantly in lists, speeches, and marketing during Women's History Month and similar occasions: a panel featuring inspirational women in STEM, posters of inspirational women for classroom walls.
The term has become somewhat formulaic, often signaling celebratory rather than critical treatment of its subjects.
