A roster of players on a sports team who are temporarily unable to compete due to injury.
In professional sports, being placed on the injured list (often abbreviated IL) typically means the player cannot participate for a minimum period: He went on the injured list with a hamstring strain.
Previously called the disabled list in Major League Baseball until 2019.
