infra

Latin for under

Infra is a Latin term meaning "below" or "beneath," used in formal writing to refer to something that appears later in a text: see infra, page 42.

It's the opposite of supra, which points to earlier material.

Outside legal and academic writing, infra appears mainly as a prefix meaning below or within: infrastructure, infrared, infrasound.
