A human pyramid is a formation in which people stack themselves in tiers, each level kneeling or standing on those below, tapering to a single person at the top.
Common in cheerleading, gymnastics, and circus acts, it also appears as a party stunt or team-building exercise: The cheerleaders built a three-tier human pyramid.
