housing block
Multi-unit dwelling structure
A housing block is a large residential building divided into multiple apartments or flats, typically of uniform design.
The term is common in British English and often describes public or social housing developments: The council built several housing blocks in the 1960s.
In American English, apartment building or housing project is more typical.
