horah

Israeli celebratory dance

A horah is a traditional circle dance performed at Jewish celebrations, especially weddings and bar mitzvahs.

Dancers join hands and move in a circle to lively music, often lifting the honored person on a chair: The band struck up the horah and everyone rushed to the dance floor.
