square dances
Do-si-do events
Square dances are folk dances performed by four couples arranged in a square, with movements directed by a caller who announces steps like do-si-do, promenade, and allemande.
Associated with American rural tradition, square dancing remains popular at community events and is the official dance of many U.S. states.
We learned to square dance at summer camp.
