holy hour
Eucharistic adoration period
Holy hour is a Roman Catholic devotional practice of spending an hour in prayer and meditation before the Blessed Sacrament, traditionally on Thursday evenings to commemorate Christ's agony in Gethsemane.
The practice recalls Jesus asking his disciples, "Could you not watch with me one hour?" Informally and humorously, holy hour can mean any designated time for quiet reflection or unwinding: My holy hour is the first coffee of the morning, alone.
