holonovel
Immersive story simulation
A holonovel is an interactive narrative experienced in a holographic environment, where the participant enters a simulated world and engages with characters and plot as though physically present.
The term comes from Star Trek, where crew members use the holodeck for entertainment: She spent the afternoon in a holonovel set in Victorian England.
The concept represents an evolution of the novel into fully immersive storytelling.
