engrossing
Holding attention completely
Engrossing means fully absorbing one's attention.
An engrossing book or conversation captures you so completely that time passes unnoticed and distractions fade away.
The word carries positive connotations—being engrossed is usually pleasant, a state of focused immersion rather than anxious preoccupation.
