hollers

Cries out vocally

Hollers is the plural of holler, a loud shout or call: I could hear hollers coming from the backyard.

In Appalachian dialect, hollers are also small valleys between hills—a variant pronunciation of hollows: families living in the hollers of eastern Kentucky.

The verb holler means to yell: She hollers at the kids to come inside.
