guitar picks
Small strumming tools
Guitar picks are small, flat pieces of material—typically plastic, but also metal, wood, or other substances—held between thumb and finger to pluck or strum guitar strings.
Also called plectrums.
Picks vary in thickness and flexibility, affecting tone and playing feel: I prefer a heavy pick for leads but a thin one for strumming.
