greenstick fracture
Bent bone injury
A greenstick fracture is a bone break in which the bone bends and cracks on one side but doesn't separate completely—like a fresh twig that splinters when bent.
These fractures occur almost exclusively in children, whose bones are softer and more flexible than adult bones: The X-ray showed a greenstick fracture of the forearm.
