great seal
Sovereign's official emblem
A great seal is the principal official seal of a nation, state, or other governing body, used to authenticate important documents.
In the United States, the Great Seal features an eagle on one side and an unfinished pyramid on the other—imagery familiar from the dollar bill.
The treaty required the great seal to be valid.
