ghost riders
Phantom cowboys riding
Ghost riders are spectral horsemen said to ride across the sky, most famously in the cowboy song "Ghost Riders in the Sky" where damned cowboys eternally chase a devil's herd.
The image draws on older folklore of phantom huntsmen and wild riders.
In modern use, ghost rider can mean a motorcyclist performing dangerous stunts: He went full ghost rider on the freeway.
