geo-block
Regional access denial
Geo-blocking is restricting access to online content based on the user's geographic location.
Streaming services geo-block content to enforce regional licensing agreements: That show isn't available in your country.
Users often circumvent geo-blocks with VPNs.
As a verb, to geo-block is to implement such restrictions: They geo-blocked the video in Europe.
