Foldable military hat
A garrison cap is a foldable military cap with a lengthwise crease down the center, worn flat on the head.
Also called an overseas cap or side cap, it can be collapsed and tucked into a pocket or belt when not worn: He stuffed his garrison cap under his epaulette.
Standard issue in many armed forces for non-combat dress.
