fursona
Anthropomorphic self-representation
A fursona is a personalized animal character that represents someone in the furry fandom—a subculture centered on anthropomorphic animal characters.
Fursonas typically combine human and animal traits, and their creators use them as avatars in art, online interactions, and sometimes costumes: My fursona is a blue fox with cybernetic legs.
The word blends "furry" and "persona."
