fuelling station

Where cars drink

A fuelling station is a place where vehicles stop to refill their tanks—typically with petrol, diesel, or increasingly, electricity.

The term is more common in British English; Americans usually say gas station or filling station.

We stopped at a fuelling station just off the motorway.
