freestyle skater
Improvisational board rider
A freestyle skater is someone who practices freestyle skating—a discipline emphasizing tricks, creative movement, and technical skill rather than speed or distance.
The term applies across skating types: freestyle ice skaters perform spins and jumps to music, freestyle roller skaters do dance-like routines, and freestyle inline skaters navigate obstacle courses or perform street tricks.
The freestyle skaters gathered at the park to practice their moves.
