Nancy Kerrigan

Nancy Kerrigan is an American figure skater who won Olympic medals in 1992 and 1994.

She became a household name after a rival's associates attacked her knee before the 1994 Olympics—an incident that dominated tabloid coverage and made "Why me?" a brief cultural catchphrase.

She recovered to win silver, losing to the rival whose ex-husband had orchestrated the attack.
