foul out
Leave through infractions
To foul out is to be disqualified from a basketball game for accumulating too many personal fouls—typically five in college or six in the NBA: Their center fouled out with three minutes left.
The term extends to baseball, where a batter fouls out by hitting a foul ball that's caught for an out.
