folded flag
Veteran's final honor
A folded flag is an American flag ceremonially folded into a tight triangle showing only the blue field with stars.
This specific fold is performed at military funerals and presented to the next of kin: The officer knelt and handed her the folded flag.
The triangular shape has become a symbol of military sacrifice and loss, often displayed in memorial cases.
