flat-earth
Horizon-stays-level belief
Flat-earth describes the belief that the Earth is a flat plane rather than a sphere, contrary to scientific consensus.
As an adjective, it characterizes adherents or their views: flat-earth conspiracy theories, a flat-earth believer.
The term often implies willful rejection of established evidence, and flat-earther has become shorthand for someone who denies obvious facts: He's a flat-earther when it comes to climate science.
