first-teamer
Top squad member
A first-teamer is a player on a team's starting lineup rather than a substitute or reserve.
The term appears most often in British football and other sports where squads distinguish between regulars and backup players: He's been a first-teamer since his second season with the club.
By extension, a first-teamer is anyone at the top level of an organization rather than secondary ranks.
