finger gun
Jokey hand pistol
A finger gun is a hand gesture mimicking a pistol—index finger extended, thumb raised, other fingers curled.
Often deployed in pairs, finger guns signal casual acknowledgment, approval, or playful flirtation: He pointed finger guns at her across the room.
The gesture reads as cheesy or ironic, associated with dad humor and awkward social moments.
To finger-gun someone is to aim this gesture at them, usually with a clicking sound or a wink.
