fencepost
Vertical barrier support
A fencepost is a vertical stake driven into the ground to support a fence, typically made of wood, metal, or concrete.
Posts are set at regular intervals with rails or wire strung between them.
In computing, a fencepost error (or off-by-one error) occurs when you count posts instead of gaps or vice versa—a fence with ten sections needs eleven posts.
