evictions
Landlord's legal ejections
Evictions is the plural of eviction—the legal process of forcing someone to leave property they occupy.
Landlords pursue evictions when tenants fail to pay rent or violate lease terms.
The word also applies more broadly to any forced removal: Mass evictions displaced thousands during the urban renewal projects.
