endzones
Touchdown celebration areas
End zones are the rectangular areas at each end of an American or Canadian football field, extending ten yards beyond the goal line.
Teams score touchdowns by carrying or catching the ball in the opponent's end zone.
The term occasionally appears in other sports or metaphorically for any final destination: We're in the end zone now—just need to close the deal.
