eight-pack

Beyond six abs

An eight-pack is a set of eight highly defined abdominal muscles, extending the more common six-pack with two additional lower segments: He's been training for months to get an eight-pack.

The term follows the pattern of six-pack, itself derived from packaging of beverage cans.

Eight-packs are relatively rare, as the lower abdominal muscles are difficult to develop to visible definition.
