An ecowarrior is someone who takes aggressive or confrontational action to protect the environment.
The term often describes activists who engage in direct action—tree-sitting, sabotaging logging equipment, blockading pipelines—rather than working through conventional political channels.
It can be admiring or dismissive depending on the speaker: The ecowarriors chained themselves to the bulldozers.
