eating window

Daily consumption period

An eating window is the period during which someone allows themselves to eat, used in intermittent fasting and other time-restricted eating approaches.

The window typically spans several hours—commonly eight—with fasting outside it: My eating window is noon to eight, so I skip breakfast.

Also called a feeding window.
