Hooks sharply left
A duck hook is a golf shot that curves sharply from right to left (for a right-handed player) and flies low, typically the result of a closed clubface at impact.
It's one of the more destructive mishits—often landing in trouble well left of the target: I duck hooked my drive into the trees on the fourth hole.
Distinguished from a regular hook by its lower trajectory and more violent curve.
