drop-set
Decreasing weight reps
A drop-set is a weightlifting technique where you perform an exercise to failure, then immediately reduce the weight and continue without rest.
The method extends a set beyond normal exhaustion to maximize muscle fatigue: I finished my bench press with a drop-set, stripping plates until I could barely lift the bar.
