double jump
Two spins airborne
A double jump is a video game mechanic allowing a character to jump a second time while airborne, defying physics for greater height or distance.
The move appears across platformers, fighting games, and action games: You need to double jump to reach that ledge.
Outside gaming, it occasionally describes any two-stage leap or bounce.
