double-convex
Curved outward twice
Double-convex describes a lens or shape that curves outward on both sides, bulging in the middle like a lentil or a classic magnifying glass.
Such lenses focus light to a point and are used in eyeglasses, cameras, and optical instruments: a double-convex lens concentrates sunlight enough to start a fire.
