Diver-below marker signal
A dive flag is a red flag with a white diagonal stripe, displayed from a boat or float to warn other vessels that divers are in the water below.
Boaters are legally required to keep their distance from the flag: We anchored and put up the dive flag before anyone went in.
A blue-and-white alpha flag serves the same purpose internationally.
