disjunctions

Either-or logical operators

Disjunctions are separations or disconnections between things.

In logic, a disjunction is an either/or statement where at least one part must be true: The disjunction "it's raining or it's Tuesday" is true if either condition holds.

More broadly, disjunctions describe gaps or breaks in continuity: the disjunction between what politicians promise and what they deliver.
