deunionization
Ending collective bargaining
Deunionization is the process of reducing or eliminating union membership and influence in a workforce or industry.
The term describes both deliberate employer efforts to discourage organizing and broader economic shifts away from unionized labor: The deunionization of American manufacturing accelerated in the 1980s.
The result is typically diminished collective bargaining power for workers.
