detachable collar
Replaceable shirt accessory
A detachable collar is a separate collar piece that attaches to a collarless shirt, common in men's dress shirts before the mid-twentieth century.
The arrangement allowed collars to be laundered or replaced independently, since collars soil faster than shirts.
Modern usage is mostly historical or formal: He fastened his detachable collar with studs.
