destemmed
Freed from stalks
Destemmed describes something, typically grapes or herbs, that has had its stems removed.
In winemaking, grapes are destemmed before crushing to prevent bitter tannins from the woody stems entering the juice: The pinot noir was destemmed by hand.
Destemmed cilantro is easier to chop.
